Director ESG Strategy and Implementation (m/f/d)

What we look for:

  • Enthusiasm for and interest in sustainability topics, showcasing a genuine passion for business development and an understanding of financial and business processes 
  • Identify methods for reducing ESG-related risks and generating opportunities for creating sustainable value within organizations 
  • Lead projects within a transaction environment, including ESG readiness, ESG Due Diligence, and ESG strategy development
  • Lead projects with focus on execution (e.g. ESG impact measurement) ensuring a tangible and positive influence on sustainability efforts
  • Stay informed about ESG-related risks, issues, trends, and latest developments to finetune our service offering to market requirements  
What we require:
  • Proactive, highly analytical, yet entrepreneurial and creative mindset, adept at using data to inform strategic decision making 
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (MBA is of advantage)
  • Proven track record of at least 6 years in ESG consulting, sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, or related fields
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience in sustainability consulting, backed by a proven track record of successful projects 
  • Deep knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., ESRS, CSRD) and emerging trends in sustainable business practices  
  • Service oriented and communicative team player with passion for work 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written in English and preferably also in German) and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex ESG concepts to diverse audiences
