What we look for:

• You will focus on tax issues and balance sheet accounting, in particular the preparation and auditing of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and, in the future, IFRS for OMMAX and our subsidiaries.
• You support the transition from HGB to IFRS and ensure that all relevant processes are implemented smoothly while continuously developing the accounting and all related systems.
• You optimise tax strategies and processes, create policies and guidelines, and implement measures to optimise the tax strategy to ensure compliance and increase efficiency.
• You will work closely with the accounting department, clarify accounting issues, ensure compliance with regulations and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• You analyse tax risks and opportunities, prepare reports and analyses for management and support strategic financial decisions.
• You automate financial processes using tools such as PowerQuery and Tableau and continuously optimise internal financial processes.
• You support internal and external audits, including tax audits, and are the point of contact for complex tax issues, including transfer pricing with foreign subsidiaries.

What we require:

• You have a university degree with excellent grades in business administration, tax, accounting or a related field.
• You have 3+ years of experience in accounting and tax or a related field, ideally in a consulting or audit environment, and have experience in handling and supporting tax audits.
• You have a very good knowledge of HGB and ideally some experience with IFRS.
• You have very good knowledge of tax law and accounting for corporations.
• You are confident in using accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• You have an independent and structured way of working, coupled with a high level of team-orientation.
• You are fluent in English and German.
