OMMAX Advised Just Spices on the Sale to the Kraft Heinz Company

Just Spices is a tech enabled spice brand offering a broad product portfolio in the market for seasonings and spices with numerous flavors. Just Spices’ products are innovative and inspiring to the customer through appealing design and naming. As the leading food brand among Gen Y and Gen Z, Just Spices is backed by a dedicated and highly engaged community with an unmatched social media presence (e.g. 674k followers on TikTok) and an excellent brand reputation. The company successfully leverages a synergistic omnichannel strategy to reach its customers, translating DTC data into new retail opportunities, enabling it to scale with high velocity through both offline and online channels. Following strong growth in the GSA region, Just Spices successfully launched its international expansion to Spain in March 2021.

In preparation for the sale, OMMAX supported Just Spices with a commercial vendor due diligence and examined the company’s digital performance, evaluating dimensions like competitive landscape, digital KPIs, customer economics, infrastructure and data organization, as well as validating the business plan and developing value creation potential. The company showed strong double-digit revenue growth across its product portfolio, achieving consistently high conversion rates despite operating in a seasonal market. Just Spices was very satisfied with OMMAX’s work.
